AES Tanawha had an incredible time at the Dog’s Life Pet Expo this past Saturday! The event was a huge success, with around 60 exhibitors present, and we were proud to be the only veterinary stall, offering essential services and advice to keep pets safe and happy.
Our Stall at Stand 37
We were positioned at Stand 37, under the shade of the trees—a perfect spot given the hot weather. To ensure the well-being of all the furry visitors, we provided fresh water and treats to help keep them cool and hydrated throughout the day. Our focus on pet first aid was particularly relevant, as the high temperatures raised concerns about dehydration. Many pet owners stopped by to learn how to keep their pets safe in the heat, and we were glad to share our expertise.
Vet Nurse Melissa Taylor’s Presentation
One of the highlights of the day was our very own Vet Nurse, Melissa Taylor, taking the centre stage at 11:30am. Her presentation on “What to Do in the Event of an Emergency” was a hit with the audience. Melissa shared practical advice on handling common pet emergencies, from heatstroke to injuries, ensuring that pet owners felt more confident and prepared to take quick action if needed.
The Dog’s Life Pet Expo Experience
The Dog’s Life Pet Expo was a fantastic celebration for animal lovers, with a great mix of fun and education. Visitors enjoyed live music, learned from educational speakers, and watched impressive agility, obedience, and trick demonstrations at the Showcase Arena. The Play Zone and Paddle Pool were especially popular, giving dogs a chance to cool off and play in the water. The Great River Walk offered a scenic route for visitors to take a leisurely stroll with their furry companions, making it a perfect day out for all attendees.
Looking Back
We’re grateful to have been part of such a wonderful event that brought together so many passionate pet owners. The Dog’s Life Pet Expo truly embodied the spirit of community and the special bond we share with our pets. We’re already looking forward to the next opportunity to connect with pet owners and provide valuable care and advice. Thank you to everyone who visited our stall, attended Melissa’s talk, and made the day so memorable. We can’t wait to see you and your pets at future events!
