Having worked as a veterinary nurse for years, Chantal always wanted to end up in an emergency hospital. She loves the variety of cases, the adrenaline and the best standards of care that emergency medicine offers. At Animal Emergency Service, Chantal enjoys the high levels of care and the constant drive to learn more and to become a better nurse.
One of Chantal’s most memorable patients was an anemic cat undergoing a blood transfusion. She was amazed at the turnaround in demeanour just halfway through the transfusion. But the fact that her cat was the blood donor made this patient extra special.
To aspiring vets and nurses, Chantal advises treating pets like your own, talking to them to help them remain calm, and treating clients as you would your own mother.
