Dr Geoffrey Dodds

Hospital Director Jindalee
BVSc (Hons), BSc (Hons)

Geoffrey had a fascination with animals and the natural world ever since he can remember. In 2006, he completed a Bachelor of Science, with a major in zoology. Geoffrey then went on to complete an Honours thesis in marine parasitology, which meant several visits to the Great Barrier Reef, ‘working hard’ in the name of science.

Soon afterwards he completed his Bachelor of Veterinary Science at the University of Queensland before embarking on a rotating internship with Veterinary Specialist Services. Here he gained experience working with specialists in soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, internal medicine, ophthalmology, oncology, and dentistry.

The following year Geoffrey was lucky enough to be offered an internship as an emergency clinician with the Animal Emergency Service. The challenging hours and varied caseload, along with the amazing team of receptionists, nurses and vets are what makes working for Animal Emergency Service an absolute pleasure. It has been very exciting to watch the growth of our new clinic at Jindalee, where he now spends most of his time.

At home, Baby Olivia and our little dachshund Winston compete for their Mothers love. Unfortunately for Winston, most of the attention he receives consists of tail pulls and eye pokes from Olivia.
