After hours vet helping pets on the Sunshine Coast

Since opening in 2014, hundreds of pet owners in the local community have trusted Dr Matt Rosen and our team of vets and nurses with their pets.

If you’re ever feeling anxious or worried about your pet’s health, come on down and see us.

When your pet is discharged from the hospital, we will pass on your pet’s medical history to your vet, so they can update your pet’s medical records and access any test results they need for your pet’s ongoing care.

What we do at Animal Emergency Service Tanawha

We are familiar with the lush thick forest and beautiful beach areas on the Sunshine Coast, having seen a variety of patient conditions such as:

  • Tick paralysis
  • Cane toad poisoning
  • Heat stroke
  • Saltwater toxicity
  • Dehydration
  • Snake envenomation
  • Plant poisoning
  • Upset stomach, diarrhea and nausea
  • Any time you are feeling worried about your pet it’s worth a visit to the vet to put your mind at ease

Our team has a soft spot for wildlife, caring for sick and injured native animals and working with rehabilitation groups to release them back into the wild.

We love returning lost pets back home to their worried owners, and even recently reunited an owner with a cat that had been missing for over two years!

We are an active part of the vet community, regularly getting together with vet colleagues from surrounding practices to share knowledge about the region’s foremost emergencies – everything from red belly black snake bites to advances in tick paralysis patient care.

If you ever find yourself worried about your pet, call on us for help.

Meet Our Team

Our experienced and dedicated team of after hours vets and nurses are here to help you when your pet is in need.

Very friendly and supportive staff. My dog injured his paw on a Saturday morning walk and with all other vets closed or busy we got recommended to go to Animal Emergency Service. I highly recommend anyone who lives in the Brisbane region to pay a visit to Animal Emergency Service for their pet’s needs.

Recent events had me taking my loved fur girl into Animal Emergency Jindalee. If and whatever the circumstances with your pet do not hesitate to bring them in for care with this team. If the outcome is unfortunately a sad one you are in the best place. If you have a hurt/sick one you are in best care with a team that will give you compassionate support the whole way through your ordeal. They know how much we love our pets. The highest accolades to vets, nurses & admin for the professional and friendly service any time of day. Thank you.

A Cowen

Our family has nothing but good things to say about this clinic – they have been there for us when our little man Squirt has needed urgent help, conducting necessary tests and supporting us with his ongoing palliative treatment.
The team are very good with our cat, even when he is being stroppy, and really go the extra mile to help us out when we need things done at the most inconvenient times!
A big thank you to Grace and all the fantastic team at AES Jindalee 🙂

Amazing. Truly a wonderful, professional team.
I needed their services after hours on 19.06.20 and everything was handled in a professional, courteous manner. My girl, Jessie, and I were greeted in a quick, efficient manner, and the procedure was explained in clear, precise terms. I was even informed of the cost prior to going ahead, which I feel is necessary in emergency situations, and it was lower than my expectations. Afterwards, the follow-up phone call was courteous and I was informed of everything that was done, and the end result. Even during COVID-19 restrictions, the team here is still friendly and welcoming. 👍

We are new to the area and I was so worried when My Fur baby hurt his paw! The staff were amazing took him in straight away, their COVID procedures were probably the best I have seen. They kept us up to date with what they were doing, Dr Gail was very informative and explained everything to us. They also offered us to call back anytime if we had any further concerns with him. Thanks to all of the amazing nurses and staff. Juke is fine and thanks for making it as pleasant as possible.

No-one likes to have a situation where you have to take your pet to the emergency vet. But, it happens. I have had to take my little poodle on several occasions, and each time the service has been very professional, friendly and supportive. I would definitely recommend anyone seeking emergency help for their little furry baby – don’t hesitate. You will be a cared for very professionally and with a very friendly and caring atmosphere.

Was there for my puppy when he got sick after hours. I am deeply impressed that this vet service is available at all times that other vets are closed. Ie at night, weekends and public holidays…
