If your pet has stopped breathing, mouth-to-nose resuscitation can be performed. To perform CPR on your pet:

  • cpr1Wrap your hands around your pet’s jaw and nose so the airway via their mouth is sealed.
  • Blow a slow long breath through your pet’s nostrils until their chest rises.
  • Allow the chest to reduce.
  • Repeat

Continue this process until you get to your veterinarian or your pet commences breathing on their own.
