Animal Emergency Service Tanawha Veterinarian Dr Matt Hollindale with a dog

Dr Matt Hollindale

Veterinarian
BVSc

Having always loved animals since he can remember and has always had the desire to help those that can’t help themselves it’s no surprise Dr Matt Hollindale became a vet. He remembers as a child bathing his family cat’s wounds after he would get into fights and enjoyed caring for him and contributing to his recovery.

The most memorable case in his career to date was performing an enterotomy on a wild carpet python to remove a stuffed teddy bear that it had eaten. He was drawn to Animal Emergency Service by the high-class veterinarians working on the team, and the training and support provided, as well as the best-in-class equipment for whatever a patient needs in the moment.

For upcoming vets, Dr Matt advises taking time for yourself and your mental health as it will go a long way in helping you to be the best vet you can be.

Outside of work, Dr Matt leads an active life, surfing, scuba diving, snowboarding, going to the gym, and getting out for walks, runs and hikes.
