In no particular order, our top dog parks are:
Buderim Dog Park
Either for walks or playtime, Buderim Dog Park is large and fenced so there’s plenty of room for dogs of all sizes. There’s two fenced sections, one for large dogs and another separate fenced area for small dogs. And there’s an undercover gazebo with seating so you can shelter from the sun on those hot days along with dog water bowls. It’s also a great meeting place, with local dog lover groups meeting there regularly.

Muller Park Dog Park
Muller Park Dog Park is the perfect spot for the whole family. Located right next to a skatepark and basketball court, kids can play while your dogs can have some off-leash fun. The large fenced areas is off-leash 24 hours, whle the wider park is off-least between the hours of 4pm to 8am. You can even make a day of it with plenty of shaded seating and picnic areas to relax and enjoy a meal.

Sippy Downs Dog Park
Just down from the retirement village, Sippy Down Dog Park is off-leash and fenced for your peace of mind. A quiet, good sized park with plenty of shaded trees, you wouldn’t know you are close to the local shops! There is plenty of seating and picnic tables, along with fresh water and dog bowls.

Brightwater Dog Park
Let your pooch run free at Brightwater Dog Park, a beautiful and spacious off-leash park that’s popular with locals. The Park is fenced so your pup can run and play until their heart’s content. The Park is also popular with joggers, so you can even take your dog for an on-leash jog. There are also plenty of shaded seating areas for you to relax while your pup plays.

Buddina Off-Leash Dog Park
With an unobstructed view that looks out across the ocean, right up and down the coast it is no surprised it’s called “the best dog park with a view”. Stretching across the grassy hill at Point Cartwright, Buddina Off-Leash Dog Park is an after hours Sunshine Coast dog park allowing pooches to run free from 4pm to 8am.

The essentials to take to Sunshine Coast dog parks
Before you head off for some fun at the dog park, remember these essentials:
- Fresh drinking water in case the park you choose doesn’t have a dog fountain
- Pet sunscreen, especially if it’s a hot day as our pooches can burn just as easily as us
- Doggy poo bags
- Always check signs, even if you have visited in the past, in case rules around on/off leashing have changed
